Scenary and Tourism

Northern New Mexico, "Land of Enchantment", is a Mecca for tourists looking to explore the scenary ranging from mountain peaks to the valleys, Native American pueblos to old Santa Fe, wineries to art galleries, and much more. This site cannot begin to cover the myriad of tourist attractions and great scenary that characterize Northern New Mexico. We suggest you consider buying a (one or maybe more) tour book that covers this region, and then follow your personal preferences, or follow the links from the New Mexico Tourism Department for more details.

A few minimal examples: Los Alamos sits adjacent to the Jemez mountains to the west, location of the Valle Grande (pronounced "Va'yah Grahn'day"), location of the world's largest extinct volcano that shaped the Jemez mountains.
